Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is an actress and model hailing in the US. After beginning her career as a model she soon moved into acting, after appearing in guest roles on 1990's TV shows like Boy Meets World and High Incident. She had her first film performance in 1997's drama Nowhere. After her performance on the screen in American Beauty (for which she received an award from the BAFTA Award) and American Pie which attracted her much attention, she completed her move into more prominent parts. In the following years, she starred as a co-star in Loser (2000) along with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs as well as later portrayed the lead character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun and Trauma, the thriller film from 2004, were two of her appearances. Also, she appeared on drama series on HBO Six Feet Under in 2004 she received a nomination as a member of the Outstanding Cast in the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was cast in a string of films which included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been featured on fashion blogs and in various magazines such as Vogue and Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. She has backed and served as an advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation for a number of years. Additionally, she has been engaged in the issue of women empowerment and is involved with charities whose cause is breast cancer, and the End Violence Against Women campaign. She has modelled for many high-profile brands such as Mercedes-Benz Sprint Canada and the Olympics. Her filmography includes Stick It Backcountry Something Red and Wide Awake. Due to her talent she was able to do well in each of the films. Missy is a big heart. She enjoys using her spare time to participate in various charity activities. Her association is with an organization that is non-political and focuses on making affordable and safe footwear for South America.
